Sadly I cannot present wise words from personal experience of how to create a successful marriage, however, I’m trusting that my failures will provide a deeper understanding of Love in the future. So I am now trying to embrace what I believed is the ideal LOVE recipe:
Mix together in equal parts the following four ingredients –
Gratitude
Trust or faith (either will do, because they both create the binding effect of positivity)
Compassion
Humility,
Stir with love and bake gently in a warm hearted oven.
Celebrate sharing a little of this ‘love recipe’ often during each day, then you and those around you will always feel nurtured and satisfied.
,
Beloved, let us love one another , for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. ……….Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.1 John 4:7,8,11,12.
In his book titled Thy Kingdom Come,[Page 37]William V. Dychwrites:
‘In John’s theology of the life and death of Jesus which we have already considered, resurrection does not mean simply that there is life after death, but that there is life after love. When seen against the background of Jesus’ whole life and death, his resurrection mean simply that it is love that constitutes genuine human life and is the beginning of eternal life here and now, a life that death cannot destroy……….the theology of the life and death of Jesus in the synoptic gospels……..comes to vivid expression, in the paradoxical identification of losing life and finding life.’
Thus, we can concede that love is the active life force of life and though it may not keep our physical body as we know it from a form of death, our human life.
