The basic set of symbol maths cards are based on the use of the base ten materials built with centimetre blocks. These symbol maths cards offer a visual 2D presentation of the concrete materials and thus encourage learners to explore a better way of understanding the transfer from concrete materials to a 2D form of presentation. Each set of cards are also presented in an uncoloured format so that the learner can colour in them in appropriately and thereby construct their own personal set of cards.
